PAICV adopted the thesis that the Government is corrupt and not transparent – MpD

The PAICV is anchored in a desperate strategy to try to discredit the Government and tarnish the quality of democracy. This idea was defended by the Secretary General of MpD at a press conference this Yesterday morning in the city of Praia.

Miguel Monteiro says that the PAICV adopted the thesis that the government (MpD) is corrupt and not transparent.

“This PAICV has chosen the path of political action anchored in a desperate strategy to try to discredit the Government and to tarnish the quality of Cape Verdean democracy, through continuous initiatives of launching suspicions. He adopted the thesis that the Government is corrupt and not very transparent, and tries at all costs to demonstrate this thesis. It aims at all costs to destabilize governance and create an environment that is inappropriate for the reforms that the country needs so much, “he explains.

Miguel Monteiro points out that the PAICV is taking responsibility for the period of its governance.

“It is this same PAICV that tries to take responsibility for the period of its governance in relation to certain dossiers, with particular emphasis on the Environment Fund case. The strategy is very clear. This PAICV tries to denigrate at all costs the current governance with suspicions and, at the same time, forgets about its recent mismanagement. It does not matter the political debate, I repeat, it does not matter the political debate and the affirmation of the PAICV as an alternative, but the creation of an internal and external environment that impedes the government and disqualifies the democracy of the country “, he emphasizes.

MpD Secretary General Miguel Monteiro says that the majority party appeals to the executive to remain firm and determined in the implementation of the political options and reforms contained in the Government program.
