Seedorf To Convince Nkoulou To Return Cameroon National Team

Cameroonian defender Nicolas Nkoulou

Clarence Seedorf and Patrick Kluivert after penning a four year contract to be at  the helm of the Indomitable Lions could mean the return of Torino’s defender Nicolas Nkoulou.

All the excitement aside, they both have a job at hand, In order to avoid the 1972 massacre (Cameroon hosted and did not win), something has to be done and real fast. Football writer’st and analyst have not hidden the unbridled joy on Seedorf’s first step.

On Wednesday, August 15, Clarence was spotted at the Torino training camp with Walter Matzari, Torino’s coach. The purpose of his journey was crystal clear as Nicolas Alexis Julio Nkoulou Ndoubene, popular known as Nicolas Nkoulou is needed.

Nicolas was the only black hen of the beautiful 2017, as the game was concerned as per then. The Afcon was won, but it seemed a distant memory as the kadji sports product announced an international break for himself.

The 28 year old, fell down the perking order during the reign of the Belgian conductor Hugo Bross, as Adolf Tekieu was preferred at center back to partner Ngadeu

However, the matured, gigantic, but yet clam and composed Nkoulou, appeared on the biggest stage of the continent when given the opportunity, and gave Cameroonians joy as he scored his only goal with the national team since making his debut in November 19, 2008.

It was an equalizer against Egypt, If a price tag was put on that goal only the footballing “god” would tell it’s worth. Dieudonne’ Happi held a meeting in Paris, grossly to convince 9 player’s to rejoin the national team, inclusive Nkoulou amidst other names like Bahoken, Ibrahim Amadou, Joel Matip, just to name a few.

After that period, people made their views clear, for example Chouppo-moting decided to come back, and Joel Matip gave a big ‘NO’. Last year’s winner of Torino’s player and defender of the year, off course already considered as fans favorite is yet to make a decision.

Seedorf would expect a positive answer from the 28 year old urgently, as his nation is in desperate need not only for a center back, but a leader.

It’s no surprise the likes of Inter Milan, and f.c Seville are in race for the charismatic defender’s signature, as at one point in his youth even FC Barcelona were in need of his services.

Cameroonians all wait for the results with “hands on head” gestures, as this near perfect defender compared to Franck Beckenbauer and that role of a “polivalent” he created, is priceless platinum at this point
