Unemployment in South Africa Rises to 27.2 Percent

The rate of unemployment in South Africa rose in the second quarter of this year to 27.2 percent, meaning that in that period, 102 thousand workplaces were lost, it was officially informed yesterday.

According to Statistics South Africa, the lack of jobs for youths neared 54 percent and most of the lost jobs are concentrated in the manufacturing industry, retail and services.
