Senegal and Napoli defender Kalidou Koulibaly’s future remains a subject of speculation with the Italian giants reportedly turning down a €100 million bid.
The lanky centre back is wanted by Manchester United in the English Premier League, but media reports say the bid comes from an unnamed club.
United’s Jose Mourinho is thought to be keen on the Lions of Teranga international who shone at the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia.
The West African had a great global tournament despite their failure to reach the knockout stages in Russia and is seen as one of Europe’s finest centre-backs.
On the other hand, Chelsea have previously been fended off by Napoli and now an unnamed club has also been knocked back.
According to Calciomercato, it is suggested that club is Manchester United as Mourinho remains desperate for defensive reinforcements.
Mourinho is dissatisfied with Eric Bailly, Chris Smalling, Phil Jones and Victor Lindelof as a collective and Koulibaly would certainly strengthen his defence.
