One Malian Migrant Killed, Two Injured by Gunfire in Italy

Italy-carabinieri-ambulanzaAn African migrant was killed and two others were injured by rifle fire during an incident occurred in the southern Calabrian province of Vibo Valentia in the last hours, yesterday Sunday 3 June 2018 reported official sources.

The deceased is a 29-year-old Malian man called Sacko Soumayla, who lived with the two injured in a tent camp inhabited by agricultural workers in the neighboring town San Ferdinando town.

According to the information released by local media, the incident took place the night before at a point on state highway 18, between San Calogero and Rosarno, about 640 kilometers south of this capital.

So far the reasons and other circumstances of the fact are unknown, which is being investigated by the authorities.
